'I wanted it to stop,' accuser tells Cosby trial

She lost consciousness, then was jolted awake when she felt Cosby's hand "groping my breasts".

The 79-year-old, for decades feted as "America's Dad", is on trial for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting a Temple University employee at his Philadelphia mansion 13 years ago.

While on the stand, she said Cosby gave her a pill after asking her to visit him at his bungalow at Los Angeles' Hotel Bel-Air. "And I felt him take my hand, place it on his penis and move it back and forth", she told court. "They were limp and I wasn't able to get there, to fight, to get away".

Cosby is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting Constand at his home outside Philadelphia in 2004. She said on Tuesday that she felt her continued friendship with Cosby after the alleged assault was important to the school's athletic department. Cosby had attended Temple, and Constand had met him when she worked for the women's basketball team.

She said she felt humiliated and confused, and wanted to go home, but doesn't remember what happened the next morning before leaving Cosby's home.

Cosby's lawyers have argued that deceased witnesses, lost evidence and fading memories make it almost impossible for them to defend the comedian against the 12-year-old complaint from Constand, who took the the stand Tuesday to face the man she says sexually assaulted her.

So far, more than 50 women have come forward to accuse the former Cosby Show actor of drugging and sexually assaulting them. Ms Constand's case is the only one in which Cosby has been charged.

Cosby's defense suggests that there is no correct response for a survivor of sexual violence.

The defence says the relationship with Constand was consensual.

Constand sounded believable. But there will be questions: Why did she continue to contact Cosby after the assault?

"I was mistaken", Constand said, referring to the type of meal they had.

After Constand began "seeing double", she realized that her legs were weak, at which point she alleges that Cosby led her to a couch, where she "passed out". She also said she received another call in which her daughter claimed Cosby was pressuring her boss, the comedian's agent, to get rid of her. "These will help you relax", he said, according to her testimony.

However, Constand claimed Cosby made a "suggestive" advance towards her during their fourth dinner together, after no previous incidents. Prosecutors hope her testimony will show that Cosby had a pattern of assaulting women after befriending them. Instead, she said he responded, "I thought you had an orgasm, didn't you?"

The stage was set for Tuesday's courtroom confrontation after prosecutors used the first day and a half of the trial to argue that Cosby made a habit of knocking women out with pills and then molesting them. "I began to slur my words and I also told Mr. Cosby that I had trouble seeing him, that I could see two of him".

The testimony of Ms Sewell - and of Joseph Miller, who represented the William Morris Agency when Ms Johnson filed a workers compensation claim against them - largely supported Ms Johnson's testimony.

She asked what they were and whether or not they were herbal and she said Cosby told her, "Put them down".

And she trusted him as a friend and mentor.
