Rick and Morty creator explains the season 3 delay on Twitter

Well, the official Rick and Morty account have released this press release and you better clear your schedule for Thursday.

The co-creator once again assured fans that all is well between him and Justin Roiland in Rick and Morty writers' room.

Fans are thoroughly enjoying season 3 of Rick and Morty, but it took a while for it to actually get done.

Rick and Morty follows the mad scientist, Rick Sanchez, who likes to take on adventures across the universe with his grandson, Morty. Now, new reports are claiming that the show's creators are afraid that the show might be worse than the first and second seasons.

"Justin and I are very regretful about the season taking way too long".

Over the weekend, Dan Harmon wrote a series of posts on Twitter to explain what has been going on with the show.

The thread goes into detail about a rather mundane reason for why season three took so long to come to fruition - Harmon and Roiland just took their time writing it.

"The "fights" I refer to aren't 'the reason for the delay.' The fights also aren't what you call a fight when you have one in your home or street". Roiland really created something special with the show's eponymous inter-dimensional explorers, and with the added creative insight offered by Harmon, the series has become a must-see original program for Adult Swim viewers. You usually end up back where you started.

The announcement comes just after a recent "hungover thread" on Twitter from Harmon, in which he directly addressed the aforementioned show-threatening rumors.

After making its debut in 2013, Rick and Morty has provided its audience with one enticing adventure after another.

Strangely enough, the outspoken Harmon told fans at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year that his persistent quarrels with Roiland caused the lengthy delay between seasons 2 and 3.

Well, that, and they wanted to make sure it was just as good as the two previous seasons, something which Harmon says is a "common" issue among show creators.

Dan Harmon joked that if there ever was a feud with Justin Roiland, both of them would be delighted to make it known to the public.
