Supreme Court sides with same-sex couples in Arkansas suit

According to Slate, the court ruled that their previous decision on same-sex marriage, which says states must give marriage rights to same-sex couples "on the same terms and conditions as opposite-sex couples", also extends to child-rearing because the state would list a married couple of opposite sexes as a child's parents. Although Republicans and Republican-leaning independents as a whole are roughly split on the question, 60 percent of right-wing Millennials are in favor of same-sex marriage, with only 38 percent opposed.

People leave the Supreme Court in Washington, Monday, June 26, 2017.

The survey found that a majority of the conservative Baby Boomer generation, for the first time, favored same-sex marriage, with 56 percent in favor and 39 percent opposed.

The Supreme Court overturned that ruling today, arguing that Obergefell v. Hodges in 2015 did not just allow same-sex couple to marry, but also required that same-sex married couples get the same rights as opposite-sex married couples. He continued with more pro-LGBT agenda bias: "The justices - who upheld same-sex marriage nationwide in a landmark 2015 ruling - apparently decided that despite state laws barring discrimination based on sexual orientation, the merchants' obligation to same-sex couples was not necessarily baked in the cake".

In a statement sent to 40/29 News, Danielle Weatherby of the group, For Fayetteville, praised the Supreme Court's decision. He added that "the key to the outcome of similar cases appears to hinge on whether states have laws barring discrimination against gays and lesbians, or whether they have laws protecting religious liberty". Even last March, 55 percent said they support it while 37 percent opposed it. According to Pew, 47% of Republicans and independents who lean Republican now favor same-sex marriage, with 48% opposing it.

"Views on same-sex marriage have shifted dramatically in recent years". The level of support among both demographics has risen by at least 10 percentage points over the a year ago. In 2013, 61 percent were opposed.

However, among the Catholic leadership in the USA, opposition to same-sex marriage remains strong. The spirit of confusion just keeps hovering over this issue as it is assigned to do.

"Many gay and lesbian couples are leading lives of heroic devotion to each other, their children, and their communities", DeBernardo wrote.
