Trump Defends Scaramucci: He Wanted to Endorse Me First

Appointing a single individual - accountable to both the president and the press - to answer questions on camera and on a regular basis was the most important means of fulfilling that duty.

During his first press conference as communications director Friday he was asked about his previous reference to Trump as "another hack politician" who is "anti-American".

It has, by no means, been a flawless job by Spicer.

'Sean Spicer is a wonderful person who took tremendous abuse from the Fake News Media - but his future is bright!' Trump tweeted on Friday.

The heavyweights of the pro-Trump online media have long disdained Spicer, who they viewed as an ineffective member of the Republican establishment.

He and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, promoted after Spicer's resignation, also appeared to be on different pages about whether Trump supports legislation imposing tough new sanctions on Russian Federation.

The New York financier repeatedly declared his love for and loyalty to President Trump. He shared close ties with Priebus, the former RNC chair and other lower ranking aides in the White House communications shop.

Scaramucci, who joined Trump's team last week, said he wants to "reset" relations between the White House and the media.

Outgoing White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said on Friday that he resigned from his post as President Donald Trump's chief spokesperson because he felt there were "too many cooks in the kitchen".

"I didn't say I was siding with President Trump", Scaramuccis said. I wish him continued success as he moves on to pursue new opportunities - just look at his great television ratings. He even cheered when he said his mom told him she supports same-sex marriage.

During a discussion with former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers in November 2015 on his show "Wall Street Week", Scaramucci said of Trump's comments about Federal Reserve chairwoman Janet Yellen keeping interest rates low for political reasons: "It preys on people that have low information about these things, of course it's nonsense".

Scaramucci said the conclusion tarnished Trump's victory.

The consensus of the country's intelligence agencies-and even his own national security advisers-are apparently not enough to convince President Donald Trump, who still isn't quite sure whether Russian Federation tried to interfere in the USA presidential race.

Following a turbulent half-year run as White House press secretary, Mr Spicer is leaving the building with a final burst of drama after rejecting what amounted to a downsizing of his role.
