TUF 25 Finale Results: Jesse Taylor submits Dhiego Lima

Here's how it all went down.

Redemption, submitting Dhiego Lima in the finals in Las Vegas Saturday night. However, Lima was knocked out in the finale by Eddie Gordon.

In season 7 of The Ultimate Fighter, Taylor won four fights but was kicked out of the tournament for an incident.

Jesse Taylor screwed up in his first opportunity to be crowned "The Ultimate Fighter" years ago, but he siezed the moment tonight to redeem himself with a second round submission victory over Dhiego Lima to be crowned the victor of TUF Season 25. Lima was able to get back up against the cage, but Taylor kept trying to bring Lima down. Immediately, Taylor went for the takedown and eventually got Lima to the ground. Taylor with a nice elbow from the top. Taylor jumps on his back and sinks in a rear-naked choke.

Now he's got Lima down properly and is able to start working some ground and pound from inside Lima's closed guard. Dhiego attempts to scramble.

Taylor reaching with a right hand, but instead it's Lima who floors him with a left. Lima rushed in for the finish but it was an ill-advised move as Taylor quickly slipped free and reversed positions to take over control on the mat. Lima tried everything he could to escape, but the choke was in and there was no escape, forcing him to tap less than a minute into a round that had started in such promising fashion.

Moments later, Taylor (31-15 MMA, 1-1 UFC) was back on top, taking Lima's (12-6 MMA, 1-4 UFC) back and sinking in the rear-naked choke to force the submission just 43 seconds into Round 2, claiming a reality show tournament title worth almost $300,000 in the end.

Jesse Taylor went from sleeping on beaches to winning $290,000.
