Battlefield 1 Goes Free For EA And Origin Access

Battlefield 1 Goes Free For EA And Origin Access

For those unaware, the Access service follows a subscription-based model for many games published by EA and even some that aren't.

Battlefield 1 originally released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC back in October previous year to a critical acclaim.

Previously announced by EA without a particular release date, Battlefield 1 comes to both services less than a year since it was released.

Battlefield 1's explosive multiplayer action focuses on team play and unique combat roles on land, in the sky, and at sea. Fight in a series of interconnected multiplayer battles in Operations mode, where attackers must break through the defense's line and push the conflict onward across multiple maps. Currently, EA Access claims to bolster over 45 games whereas Origin Access has over 75 and counting.

For those of you that haven't joined EA Access or Origin Access just yet, it's a pretty good deal. On top of that, there's even access to old-school gems like Wing Commander and Ultima as well. Their plans included bringing Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1 and the Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 trial to Origin and EA Access within the two months following July. The Titanfall 2 campaign was particularly well received, though unfortunately the game didn't sell too well during the crowded holiday season.

EA Access is a service exclusive to the Xbox One, which grants subscribers a number of perks including discounts on EA titles, early access and trial periods for upcoming and new releases, and, of course, access to the Vault.
