HTC U11 Lite aka HTC Ocean Life to launch later this year

According to the new reports which we have, it looks like this new HTC U11 Life will be the same device "HTC Ocean Life" device, which we have been hearing about for the last few months. The Snapdragon 630 chipset will be powering the HTC U11 Life.

The HTC U11 Life will also sport the same Edge sense feature which the HTC U11 is quite popularly known for. Moreover, a glance at the specs sheet reveals very decent features, which makes it two reasons to buy such a device.

HTC has rolled out yet another update for its flagship HTC U11 smartphone. In addition, the rear side will feature a similar sized 16MP camera that's equipped with phase detection and auto-focus.

It was reiterated that the HTC U11 Life will indeed arrive with HTC's Edge Sense technology.

The pressure-sensitive edges present on HTC U11as Edge Sense will be also be there on HTC U11 Lite. Although on paper the SD660 is the superior one, the SD630 should still perform well with its octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 with a peak clock speed of 2.2GHz. At this point in time, there is not a lot known about how much it will have, however, it looks like it will have 32GB of internal storage, which can also be further expanded up to 2TB via a MicroSD card. The IP67 rating is also the same certification that Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have. If this is the case, there is a high possibility that the phone will not have a headphone jack and will instead rely on a USB Type C port for charging and audio output.

No release date was given for the HTC U11 Life, but it's expected to be sold through T-Mobile, while unlocked versions of the phone might be sold through HTC's own website.

Now, fresh information says that the HTC Ocean Life is actually the codename of the HTC U11 Lite.
