Manchester United 'reject Tottenham Hotspur's Anthony Martial bid'

Tottenham Hotspur have had a transfer offer for Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial rejected, according to French news source RMC Sport.

Martial's future is in doubt at Old Trafford and was left on the bench during the Red Devils' defeat to Real Madrid in the Super Cup. He has been shunted out to the wing regularly, and anytime he does make an impact, it is usually followed by a stern Jose Mourinho demanding more.

Although Mourinho has insisted on numerous occasions that he intends to keep the French global at Old Trafford, it hasn't stopped some reports this summer that he could be set to leave.

"I would like to think Rashford will be in", Nicholas said on Sky Sports.

With United bolstering their attacking ranks with the signature of Romelu Lukaku and being touted with wanting a new winger, it remains to be seen just how much football Martial will receive in 2017-18.

"I'm not saying I want out, but if something came to me that was concrete, I'd have no qualms about voicing my opinions to anyone at the club".

Spurs have yet to sign anyone this season, and their issues are compounded by the sale of Kyle Walker to Man City and the unhappiness of Danny Rose, who has complained over a lack of transfer activity and the club's relatively stringent wage policy. He has not played for the club since suffering a knee injury in January but is expected to return to action before the end of the month.
