New Star Wars Battlefront II Starfighter Assault Gameplay Trailer Released

Ughhhhhn at least THIS Battlefield title got it right: Star Wars Battlefront II: Starfighter Assault looks gorgeous, balanced, and super fun to fly in your favorite TIE Fighter or X-wing.

The new trailer is from the game engine and it shows a battle between the Rebels and the Empire. Unlike the 2015 original, Battlefront II has a campaign, which Motive is developing.

Also present is Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator and Yoda's zippy little Jedi Starfighter.

Being able to play through all the different Star Wars eras has me salivating for more, especially as these starfighter battles look intense.

Resurgent Star Destroyer: The first Battlefront had a ham-handed way of featuring Star Destroyers in space battles. Now, however, we finally see him getting into the nitty gritty of a space brawl - definitely promising exciting things should the planned spin-off anthology film eventually move forward.

The space fights for Battlefront II are being made by Criterion - the same developer who created the first Battlefront's side title, Rogue One VR mission, which rolled out previous year.

Star Wars Battlefront II is set to release on November 17, 2017.

The upcoming sequel has seen EA admit they screwed us last time around, and it would seem from all of the footage we are seeing from the new game that they are apologizing on groveling hands and knees. Further, an open beta test is already penciled-in to take place from October 6 to 9 on all platforms.
