At its core, the line-up has hardly changed, with 113bhp 1.6-litre and 148bhp 2.0-litre diesels, and equivalent petrol engines notable because they offer near-identical Carbon dioxide emissions.

Skoda has started accepting pre-booking for its upcoming models, the Rapid Monte Carlo and the Octavia RS, in the country. New infotainment and connectivity systems as well as better driver assistance systems will be part of the new vehicle too, along with sporty interiors.

Under the bonnet, the Rapid is expected to carry forward the same 110hp 1.5-litre engine that is also found on the Ameo. The special edition will get blacked out front grille, roof, alloy wheels, boot lid spoiler, wing mirrors, bumper and side skirts.

It is developed on the MQB platform of Volkswagen and has common keystones with Skoda's Superb and the Octavia. Kodiaq SUV is the first seven-seater SUV of Skoda. The turbocharged petrol unit of the 2 litres, 4 cylinder churns out 177 bhp of max power production and 340 Nm of max torque.
