'Stranger Things' Will Be Coming Back For A Third Season!

Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer, aka The Duffer Brothers, have revealed they are looking to bring the Netflix smash hit series to a close after a total of four seasons. Surprisingly, the show's future came up in the conversation and, perhaps even more surprisingly, the Duffer Brothers let on that they're already thinking about the end of the acclaimed series.

Stranger Things season two starts October 27.

"I think we talked like a larger time jump where the kids are older now and it's a different decade", Ross Duffer said, according to the Independent. After four seasons, the characters will be college-aged and writing them into plots set in the characters' hometown of Hawkins, Indiana could prove hard.

"They're going to have to get the fuck out of this town", Ross told Vulture. The main goal is to tell a well-thought-out story without overstaying their welcome, which happens quite often with #TV.

Don't fret: The second season of the hit Netflix show returns October 27, but while we wait, we now know there's more to look forward to than we thought.

"We just have to keep adjusting the story", Matt added. The second season is highly anticipated and is only a few months away, though fans might want to enjoy it while they can, since it could end sooner than expected.

However, they've offered up a clues about what we can expect in Season 3. Given that the "Stranger Things" season 2 is set a year after the events of the first season, the story may feature a memorial for the one-year anniversary of Barb's death.

Also, there is logic in the show only running four seasons for a number of other reasons. Thing is, if this is going to be an 80's movie sequel, then let's just hope that it's more Empire Strikes Back rather than, I don't know, Temple of Doom, huh?
