Destiny 2's First DLC Confirmed… Thanks Microsoft

Destiny 2's First DLC Confirmed… Thanks Microsoft

The expansion isn't now available for separate purchase: The lists it as only being available bundled with the base game or as part of the Destiny 2 Deluxe Edition, or in the Destiny 2 Expansion Pass.

So it sounds like the "Infinite Forest" will be a brand new zone filled with new story quests and plenty of side content. The developer is now planning two expansions for Destiny 2, but have been mum on the details.

One piece of information from the Kotaku story that isn't included in the listing is the release window for Curse of Osiris: It's reportedly scheduled to launch in December.

Are you happy with how Destiny 2 DLC contents are shaping up? The listing says that players will work to rebuild the relationship between Osiris and one of his students, Ikora Rey, while at the same time preventing a "dark future" from taking hold.

With how impressive Destiny 2 has been so far, hopefully the first DLC will be received better than the Dark Below from Destiny 1.

Destiny 2 Expansion I: Curse of Osiris continues your Guardian's journey with all-new story missions and adventures set in a new destination, Mercury. Share your opinion with us in the comment section below.

According to Microsoft Store, the expansion 2 will indeed be called "Curse of Osiris" and will take you to Mercury to explore the planet and deal with new threats.

Update: Bungie has confirmed the existence of Curse of Osiris. Though that's unlikely to be the focus of Curse of Osiris, it's perhaps entwined in the story.

A representative for Activision told Polygon that information about Curse of Osiris will be posted to Destiny's official website later today.
