Arsenal Fans Lose Their Sh*t After What Arsene Wenger Has Just Said

Ozil's current contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the season and there have been no developments in the German signing a new deal as of yet.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says contract talks are "going well" with Mesut Ozil, but "it's possible" he and Alexis Sanchez will leave in January.

"Both players are happy here - I hope the situation can turn around".

Today Wenger admitted that it's "possible" both players could be sold in January.

Before suggesting they could depart in January: "Once you are in our kind of situation, we have envisaged every solution yes".

The Gunners face Watford in their first game after the global break on Saturday lunchtime, but they are dealing with something of an injury crisis. "It is not happening at the moment" - and Merson's return to football with fourth-tier Welsh club Caerau of Maesteg - "We talk about professional football here".

The Arsenal attacker suffered World Cup heartbreak as a defeat to Brazil, combined with a Lionel Messi-inspired win for Argentina and a 1-1 draw between Colombia and Peru, saw Chile fail to qualify for Russian Federation 2018.

Arsene Wenger has cast doubt over whether Alexis Sanchez will be involved for their Premier League clash against Watford this weekend, after the Chile worldwide received "special treatment" on global duty.

"Jack is in the best form I've seen him in for a long time", Wenger said. He got some special treatment in a very physical game (against Brazil) and mentally I'll have to assess the situation.

"Sanchez is a lion who wants to play football and I do not expect him to sulk". Arsenal are now six points off the Premier League leaders after signing just two players this summer - striker Alexandre Lacazette and left-back Sead Kolasinac.

Another possible departure from Arsenal in January is Jack Wilshere, after reports indicated he was considering leaving the club in order to force his way into England's World Cup squad.
