Five found stabbed to death in Delhi's Mansarovar Park

It seemed to be a regular Saturday morning for Shahdara-based Jindal family, until they realised, to their shock, that four of their family members had been brutally murdered in the front portion of their ancestral house.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Nupur Prasad said the four women belonging to the Jindal family were found dead in Shahdara's Mansarovar Park area.

The deceased have been identified as Urmila Jindal, her daughters Sangeeta Gupta (56), Nupur Jindal (48) and Anjali Jindal (38) and their security guard Rakesh (42), the police said. It is believed that the same weapon was used to stab the five.

As the dazed nephew entered the drawing room, he found his cousins - bloodied and sprawled on the floor, a police officer said. The bodies of the women were found almost an hour later.

The police has said that the family owns Jindal Oil Mill in the national capital.

Police suspect that the murder was committed by people who were known to the family. "No one heard anything". "I got a call that from a friend and got to know about the incident".

Four of the deceased belonged to the same family. "Some days ago some tension regarding property dispute was going on", friend added.

"The crime scene indicates a friendly entry".

According to the police, robbery was not a motive behind the killings since jewellery on the bodies of the women was untouched and an expensive cellphone was found lying there.

Prima facie, the police suspected property dispute to be the reason behind the tragic incident, though family members of the victims have claimed that it was the job of the outsiders.
