Kate and her tiny baby bump make surprise appearance at Paddington

Crowds had expected to see Prince William and Prince Harry turn up as part of an event for some of the children's charities they support, but Kate stole the show when she turned up unannounced.

For the occasion, Middleton donned a pale pink long-sleeve dress with black detailing and black pumps that subtly hugged her growing baby bump.

Since Kensington Palace announced last month that Kate Middleton is pregnant with her third child with Prince William, she has retreated from the public eye-she suffers an extreme form of morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum-and even missed Prince George's first day of school.

The youngsters taking part have been selected by members of the Duke, Duchess and Prince's Charities Forum, with many going through hard times in their lives.

The event continued beyond the platform as the royal trio boarded the Belmond British Pullman train and joined more than 100 children representing numerous charities they support.

The young royals met with actor Hugh Bonneville and other cast members of Paddington 2, along with 130 children from approximately a dozen of the 30 organisations they support.

The vintage train cars were hooked up to a steam locomotive.

A royal aid said that while her health has improved, she continues to make decisions "day-to-day".

Thus, while we love seeing her out and about, we hope she's taking it easy!

But the real star of the event was Paddington Bear himself, who appeared in all his furry splendor, complete with his trademark blue overcoat, on Monday.
