LaVar Ball pulls LaMelo out of high school

LaVar Ball pulls LaMelo out of high school

Will he then get housed when he plays real games?

LaMelo is the youngest son of the Ball trio, a basketball family that has captivated and/or alienated the hoops world over the past year, depending on whom you ask.

The bombastic LaVar Ball, LaMelo's father, announced on Monday that he's taking his son out of his current high school, Chino Hills, and intends to home school him, according to multiple reports.

The loss of LaMelo from the high school ranks will have a major impact on Southern California basketball. "So therefore I'm going to home school him and make him the best basketball player ever". "But you know he's got his own shoe, you know the NCAA don't like that, so they might be like, 'Hey, back up.'" I ain't got no problem backing up because we're still going to get to here, he's on deck, coming to the Lakers".

"It's a new coach and I don't like him one bit", LaVar said of Latimore. "It seems like anybody who's training over here, that coach don't want him in the team". "Less distractions. He just needs to focus".

The junior scored 92 points in a game with his high school team past year, and now, Chino Hills' basketball team is the number four high school team in the nation.

Chino Hills went 35-0 and won a state championship in 2015-16 with Lonzo Ball as the team's star and Steve Baik as coach. "I didn't foresee this happening", Baik said.

Whether or not LaVar is a good coach is not the question.

According to Sondheimer, LaVar was already having concerns about Chino Hills' new basketball coach, Dennis Lattmore, which was a factor in the decision.

The next time people will be able to see his son LaMelo play is during the following spring in travel ball, which could affect his ranking coming into 2019 - when he's slated to attend and sign with UCLA, like his two older brothers did.
