MI children dead in horse-drawn buggy collision

A collision between a horse-drawn buggy and a pickup truck has claimed the lives of three children and critically injured six other people in MI over the weekend.

At around 8:34 Sunday morning, MSP troopers responded to E. Condensary Rd. near Wood Rd.in Montcalm County's Evergreen Township.

The collision caused extensive damage to the truck and buggy.

The six others occupants of the buggy were transported to area hospitals where they were listed in critical condition.

The father, 40-year-old Paul R. Martin, is in stable condition at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.

The three dead are being identified as a twelve year-old boy, nine year-old girl, and seven year-old girl for Sheridan.

Three children were killed and another six were in the hospital. The Martin's 18-month-old daughter was released.

The driver of the pickup, a Sheridan resident, was not injured.

Authorities told Fox 17 he has been cooperative with the investigation and drugs or alcohol do not appear to be involved. In that crash, an SUV collided with a buggy, killing a 10-year-old and injuring a 13-year-old.
