NFL Roundup: Odell Beckham Jr. to have surgery this week

I'm so thankful for this game.

In each of his first three seasons, Beckham was named to the Pro Bowl and finished with at least 90 receptions, 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns. On Monday, receiver Brandon Marshall - who left that game with an ankle injury - took to social media to announce he plans to have season ending surgery on that ankle. He did play with the Giants last season and recorded two catches for 50 yards in seven games. Folk was placed on injured reserve with a "minor injury classification". Mularkey says a decision on rookie wide receiver Corey Davis will come at the end of this week before the Titans host Indianapolis (2-3). If Shepard is unavailable this week, the Giants have only one healthy receiver who has been on their roster all season -Roger Lewis Jr. The Giants said Shepard is day-today, but it's extremely unlikely he will be ready to play in Denver against the Broncos on Sunday night.

The Giants confirmed the news yesterday afternoon that their star 24-year old wideout would be undergoing surgery and would miss the remainder of the season, which has been nothing short of a nightmare for Eli Manning and co. He had a strong offseason with the Giants, but was waived/injured in the summer due to a hamstring injury. That could be one sign of a promotion for Travis Rudolph from the practice squad to the active roster. He's out for the year, and now Marshall is as well. Many notable names on the offensive side of the ball went down yesterday, however, the #New York Giants headlined yesterday's injuries as their receiving core got decimated.

For the second time, the addition comes via the practice squad. For anything full market value, the Giants will want to wait and see Beckham return to health and regain his game-breaking form.
