Twitter Testing 'Save for Later' Feature To Bookmark Tweets

Twitter product manager Jesar Shah has announced the feature on the platform and posted a quick demo of the prototype they created at the event, Engadget said. At present, if you want to save a tweet for later, you have to either message it to yourself or Like it. Soon this feature will be launched by Twitter in near future which allow the users to keep a separate list of items, they want to see or check back. In order to preserve the tweet or we can say to save the tweet, the new updated app offers "Add to Bookmarks" tool. Coleman confirmed the feature, dubbed #SaveForLater because everything has to be a hashtag these days, was in the works as the result of a company HackWeek project. None of the above-mentioned methods are as convenient as clicking a button to save the tweet.

Twitter's other employees, including new hired Sriram Krishnan, who is a senior director of product also noted Twitter's plans for this new feature. Now, a panel pops up with the new "Add to Bookmarks" button alongside the regular "Share via DM" button.

Currently, users have a few options to save tweets for later use.

You would then access your bookmarks by clicking on your profile photo, which now brings up a drop-down menu showing "Lists", "Moments", and your privacy settings. They can also go through the slightly cumbersome task of direct messaging or emailing a tweet to themselves.

We may not be getting that edit tool we all desperately crave, but Twitter is reportedly working on another feature that could be massively useful.

A prototype shared by Shah shows a new "bookmarks" feature that can be accessed by tapping the "more" menu - three buttons on Android, a downward arrow on iOS - in each tweet.
