Apple's heavily-touted Venmo rival will enable contacts to send and receive cash, with funds stored on an virtual Apple Pay Cash debit card.

Apple Pay Cash has arrived as part of the iOS 11.2 beta, and early reviews suggest it's really easy to use.

Luckily, a permanent patch is now available with the latest version of the software, iOS 11.1.1.

With the release of the update, that workaround should no longer be necessary.
