Arrest Warrant Issued for Rose McGowan for Alleged Drug Possession

Arrest Warrant Issued for Rose McGowan for Alleged Drug Possession

Police propelled an examination after they purportedly discovered hints of opiates in individual possessions abandoned on a United flight landing at the Washington Dulles International Airport on January 20, the AP reports. "Upon examining the item, they found traces of a substance that was later identified as a narcotic".

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department obtained the warrant on February 1, but the case was not a 'high priority'.

In response to the arrest warrant, McGowan tweeted, "Are they trying to silence me". McGowan said that she turned down the offer, explaining, "I don't want your money, that would make me feel disgusting".

McGowan has been of the most vocal Harvey Weinstein accusers. At the time, the Charmed star did not elaborate on why the warrant had been issued or what crime she had been accused of. "There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia", McGowan tweeted Monday afternoon.

McGowan is now wanted to appear in a Virginia court on the charge, but took to Twitter to slam the arrest warrant.

Rose McGowan was immediately flooded with messages of support from her followers, with one writing, "Rose, you've got an army of angry women behind you". The warrant was also entered into a national law enforcement database.

McGowan who delivered the opening remarks at the Opening Day of the Women's Convention in Detroit on Friday spoke out about her life after the harassment and assault by the former film mogul. I've been maligned. And you know what?

She said, "I have been silenced for 20 years".

Rose McGowan, one of Harvey Weinstein's accusers in a massive Hollywood sexual misconduct scandal, is in legal hot water.
