The General Motors automaker touts the Corvette as its "fastest, most powerful" production version of the vehicle ever. Optionally, customers can fit their new 2019 ZR1 with heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats, a carbon-fiber adorned steering wheel and Performance Data Recorder, among other things.

Confirming (exceeding, actually) rumors that broke last week, Chevrolet parent company GM proclaimed Sunday that the chieftain of Corvettes would return for 2019 packing 755 horsepower and 715 pounds-feet of torque courtesy of a supercharged 6.2-liter LT5 V-8. It also has 52 percent more displacement due to the intercooled supercharger system, which was not previously seen in LT4. The supercar also comes equipped with Chevy's first dual fuel direct injection system with supplemental port injection. For the first time ever, the ZR1 will be available with an automatic transmission.

The 2019 Corvette ZR1's front end is created to channel maximum air for propulsion-system and drivetrain cooling. GM says the new ZR1 has four new radiators and 13 heat exchangers in total. A new carbon fiber "halo" hood rises high and is open in the center in order to clear the bigger supercharger and intercooler. Both packages feature a front underwing - a first for a General Motors auto - that increases downforce. With a top speed quoted at "over 210 mph", they're not wrong. We're also told the standard "Low Wing" aero package generates 70 per cent more downforce than the standard setup on the Z06, while adding the two-way-adjustable "High Wing" into the mix reduces lift by 60 per cent more than the "Z07 Performance Package".

All variants of the new ZR1 feature a Chevrolet-first, downforce-enhancing front underwing.

Moreover, the pack containing the high wing also brings a front splitter, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires and Magnetic Ride Control to the table.

Both of the ZR1's wings are tied into the chassis, like the Corvette Racing C7.R racecar, for strength and stability.

If you like your 'Vettes in aggressive colors, Chevy rolled out a "Sebring Orange Design Package", which pretty much takes orange to 11.

Chevrolet will be offering the new model in a special Sebring Orange Design Package, which includes the vibrant Sebring Orange Tintcoat exterior, orange brakes, orange seat belts and stitching, and other orange and bronze highlights.

On Sunday in Dubai, Chevy pulled the cover off the newest, baddest 'Vette: the ZR1. The driver-focused, well-appointed cockpit includes standard leather-trimmed seats, with sueded microfiber inserts offered.

It's good to be the King.
