President Muhammadu Buhari has met over a dinner with the leadership of the National Assembly ostensibly over his impending presentation of the 2018 budget to the legislature.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the two presidents met officially for the first time since the inauguration of the Buhari administration on May 29, 2015.

The decision at the caucus will shape the NEC meeting. not all members of the caucus that are members of the NEC.

The acclaimed national leader of the All Progressive Congress party, ( APC), Ahmed Tinubu has declined comment on President Buhari's 2019 ambitions. Whatever you call it, as far as we are concerned, we have one President and that is the ticket we will fly.

While responding to a similar question, he said, "For anybody to preempt the consensus opinion of the people is to say the least not fair to the vision of our party".

"I have confidence in this President and there is no doubt about that".

President Alassane Ouattara of Cote D'Ivoire has said President Muhammadu Buhari's recovery from illness is important to West Africa and the entire African continent.

"Each of us have our roles to play and that is why we are playing it".

He said they discussed how to strengthen existing bilateral relations between Nigeria and cote d'I voire.

He commended members of the party and Nigerians for their prayers and good wishes as well as Almighty Allah for restoring his health.

But some governors elected on the platform of APC, however, told journalists before the commencement of the meeting that they would support Buhari for second term.
