Hearthstone's next expansion is called Kobolds & Catacombs

During their Blizzcon opening ceremonies Blizzard officially announced the next expansion for Hearthstone, Kobolds & Catacombs. However, one of those cards - Marin the Fox - is actually going to be made available to all Hearthstone players this Monday. This expansion's new keyword was also shown off. Cards with the Recruit ability will pull a minion from your deck and put it right into the battlefield. Each time players defeat a boss, they are given a choice between three card bundles that each contain three cards that synergize with one another. Blizzard pointed out that Aluneth is awesome for drawing cards but lackluster for fighting. I told you these cards were broken. No, seriously, that's what they're called, because players don't know what these items do until they're drawn. According to Blizzard, all class or characters can have a Legendary weapon. "It's also really fun - the strategies that pop up, the treasures are so unique and different from a lot of vanilla Hearthstone cards that your experience changes every game". So while you're earing permanent cards to use outside the dungeon, you use whatever you are given and whatever you earn one each run. The enemies you face have their own risky weapons, items, cards you don't expect.

Kobolds and Catacombs will also introduce a new single-player mode to Hearthstone called "dungeon run".

Coming this December to Windows and Mac PCs; Windows, iOS, and Android tablets; and mobile phones, Kobolds & Catacombs card packs will be winnable in Hearthstone's Arena mode and players can purchase them with in-game gold or real money at the same prices as Hearthstone's other card packs. Successfully defeating a boss will award new cards for your initially 10-strong deck. That's where the game's new single-player mode comes in.

Check out the official Hearthstone website for more information on the Kobolds & Catacombs expansion. I can not wait to play this and not get anything else done. Getting taken down by a boss means that the player must lose all loot and start from the very beginning.
