The Millennium Falcon is the fastest ship in the galaxy, but while it's previously managed the Kessel Run in under twelve parsecs, Han Solo's iconic starship is now parked up in a field in Surrey.

The Millennium Falcon is being kept in Longcross, Surrey, behind suspiciously shaped containers, which can't be seen from the roads or rolling hills nearby.

"My big Star Wars fan colleague walks his dog in this area and he nearly pissed himself when he found out that we were walking next to the Millennium Falcon every day".

Star Wars fans are just a few weeks away from the release of The Last Jedi in theaters, and the hype for Episode 8 is reaching a fever pitch.

But, even then, its distinctive shape was not hard to spot.

Click the square "Satellite" box on the left. A Millennium Falcon outdoor set on the Longcross property was reportedly snagged by a drone pilot last spring, so the ongoing presence of a giant model certainly makes sense. It is located to the right of the M3.

The Corellian cruiser was recently seen in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and will see Mark Hamill clamber on board during the events of the upcoming sequel, "Star Wars: The Last Jedi".

The clip of Star Wars: The Last Jedi featured Luke Skywalker on board the iconic, intergalactic vehicle.

It's not long now until fans can discover its fate.
