The air pollution in India's capital has reached such unsafe levels, at least one airline is temporarily canceling flights there. To get ahead of this potential issue, we're offering additional flexibility that may allow you to change your travel plans. Adding to the situation, Delhi, known for its minimal public transportation infrastructure, is faced with worsening pollution from vehicular traffic as well as smoke and exhaust from numerous construction sites throughout the area. Tour operators, however, have not seen any cancellations yet, according to Business Standard. Guests are arriving as per schedule and they move out of Delhi immediately and so there is no cause for concern. The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2017 ranks India 40th out of 136 countries overall, and worldwide, Delhi is ranked at 28 by the number of foreign tourist arrivals.

The airline website said that a flight from Newark to Delhi (UA 082) was cancelled due to "severe weather condition in our route network".In an email on November 9, the airline company informed its passengers that travel disruptions were likely due to "air quality concerns" in Delhi.
