Now, use Google Home speaker as home intercom

Else, if you have multiple Google Home devices in your house, you can broadcast one message to all these Home devices. David Ho, president of Inventec Corp., the manufacturer of Apple's smart home speaker, spoke over the weekend about future smart home speakers incorporating facial and image recognition, though he didn't specifically mention the next HomePod.

Google's help centre has more information, here.

Starting Tuesday, people can broadcast their voice from Google Assistant on smartphones or voice-activated speakers like Google Home. "Now you don't have to wear out your voice shouting up the stairs", Google's blog post reads.

Once in the Devices tab, you'll see a list of supported partners with a new entry for ecobee. Make sure the box is not ticked. Simply open your Google Home app on your phone, verify that you're using the same Google account that's linked to your Google Home, and then open the "Devices" tab in the Home menu. The support is limited to English language as of now. I'm talking about the NVIDIA Spot, the little Google Assistant-powered wall plug that has yet to go on sale for reasons we have yet to figure out. They should be updated to firmware version 1.26.9393 and have Do Not Disturb turned off. After one month following the revelation, the feature is finally showing up for all the Google Home users. One feature Amazon already has for the Echo family is a PA type system which you can use the speakers to talk with another Alexa unit in the house.

In order to activate the feature, a user can say "OK Google, broadcast" followed by the desired announcement.

Everyday messages can also be broadcast, such as time for breakfast/lunch/dinner, time to leave, and the like, which will be accompanied by a sound.

In addition to broadcasting custom messages, you can also broadcast Google-made playful messages for different activities like 'wake up, ' 'movie time, ' 'tv time, ' 'lunch, ' 'dinner, ' and more.
