Padmavati's 'Ek Dil Ek Jaan' Accentuates Shahid-Deepika's Royal Love

The song features Deepika Padukone, who plays Rani Padmavati and Shahid Kapoor, who plays Rana Rawal Ratan Singh. Now, a new song gives us a full fledged introduction to their royal romance.

The film's latest song, the evocatively composed "Ek Dil Ek Jaan, ' might continue the soundtrack's winning streak after 'Ghoomar".

The makers of the upcoming Bollywood movie "Padmavati" released the first song Ghoomar some time back and the makers were amazed to see the lead actress of the film, Deepika Padukone.

Singer Shivam Pathak's soothing voice creates the right atmosphere to the blossoming love story of the two characters.

Titled Ek Dil Ek Jaan, the song was released today and explores the moments that two royalties spend together. It shows Shahid in his royal avatar siting on his throne.

Apart from Deepika and Shahid, Ranveer Singh stars in the pivotal role of Alauddin Khilji, who invaded Chittor fort.

We expect Ranveer Singh's Alauddin Khilji to be flamboyant and Shahid's understated performance as Ratan Singh will be a flawless foil.

The song also reminds us of Bhansali's previous song Laal Ishq from Goliyon ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, which featured Deepika and Ranveer Singh.

Padmavati release has been opposed by certain Rajput groups protesting against an alleged "romantic sequence between Padmavati and Khilji".
