Despite superb test hundred, Chandimal left out of Sri Lanka's ODI squad

The team, to be led by Thisara Perera, has been ratified by Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera after an initial confusion that led to stopping of nine players departing for India. As per a particular law in Sri Lanka, a team has to get sanction from the sports minister. The press agency says the nine players involved were led by captain Thisara Perera.

The ODI cricket team was due to leave yesterday, December 04, for the three-match One Day International (ODI) series against India.
