Destiny 2 is now Xbox One X Enhanced with 4K and HDR

Destiny 2's first expansion, Curse of Osiris, launches December 5 - that's tomorrow! The maintenance is scheduled to start at 7 AM Pacific and conclude at 10 AM Pacific.

It appears that Osiris knows something about this, though, and so the story of this expansion will follow you searching for Osiris, bringing him home (either forcefully or not), and using whatever he knows to defeat the Vex and close their portal for good. As studio project leader Barrette states, "Going forward, Destiny 2's post-launch game systems, features, and updates are being designed specifically to focus on and support players who want Destiny to be their hobby-the game they return to, and a game where friendships are made". At 8 AM Pacific, all online players will be returned to the title screen. Destiny 2 Expansion I: Curse of Osiris is available today, standalone or as part of the Expansion Pass for $34.99/£29.99.

Destiny 2 with Xbox One X Enhancements should bring the game in line with the PlayStation 4 Pro version. But due to the way the PS4 handles installation, players on Sony's platform will need twice as much free space - a total of 88 GB - to download and install the expansion.

Bungie is now hard at work on a series of updates that will incentivize regular play, but in the meantime, the game's first expansion - Curse of Osiris - launched on Tuesday morning.

As of yet the full patch notes for version 1.1.0 has not been released.
