Either way, the battle-tested Sooners are looking like they could be the toughest out in this year's CFP field. OU beat Washington State 34-14 in the 2003 Rose Bowl.

This will be Georgia's 53rd bowl game appearance-fourth most of any team in the country.

Oklahoma has won eight straight games since losing to Iowa State, including a decisive victory over TCU in the Big 12 title game.

The victor will play either No. 1 Clemson (12-1) or No. 4 Alabama (11-1) on January 8 in Atlanta in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the national championship.
