Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan is also promising new legendary skins are coming soon.

Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that the Winter Wonderland holiday event for Overwatch is set to return on December 12th, 2017, and will provide plenty of new goodies for players to enjoy this holiday season. We'll probably hear (and see) more of those skins over the weekend, so sit tight for that.

Overwatch's Winter Wonderland returns next week on Tuesday.

Additionally, Kaplan says Overwatch's Black Forest map is getting a new holiday makeover. King's Row and Hanamura will once again be sporting their frosty good looks, and there's a new seasonal update for the Black Forest arena map too.

On top of the returning skins, last year's Winter Wonderland game mode, Mei's Snowball Fight, will also be making another appearance.

Aside from cosmetics, Mei's Snowball Offensive will also return from past year, which pits two teams of Meis against each other in a snowball fight-style conflict.

In the mode, which takes place on the Nepal map, the Mei players will start out hunting Winston while he tries to evade them and track down stacks of meat. Mei has a new ability that's specific to this mode, Ice Trap, and she can use it along with her usual Ice Wall to fend off the yeti. If enough Meis go down, Winston wins (tons). But once Winston triggers Primal Rage, the mode flips: It becomes all about the Meis attempting to escape before Winston can kill them.

"I know a lot of you are thinking that this sounds kinda silly and kinda ridiculous", Kaplan said in his video to the Overwatch community.
