Rob Gronkowski should find out Monday if he'll be suspended

Gronkowski, who was suspended for his late hit on Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White on Sunday, restructured his contract before this season.

Gronkowski will appeal the punishment, his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told The Associated Press.

Even with the suspension, Gronkowski shouldn't have much trouble reaching the second tier, as he needs a total of just 15 catches or 151 receiving yards over the New England's final three games to do so. Hyde and Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola were both called for unnecessary roughness for a separate altercation, and Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct for his behavior toward officials. White entered the concussion protocol, Bills coach Sean McDermott said. "I mean, I'm not in the business of that", Gronkowski said. It was a lot of frustration.

"I definitely want to apologize to (White)", he said, in part (via NBC Sports Boston). I don't really believe in those type shots like that.

Zolak thought that White was holding on the play and that somehow excused Gronkowski's retaliation.

Gronkowski, who will be eligible to return to the active roster following the team's December 11 Monday night game against the Miami Dolphins, also apologized after the game.

A reporter asked Gronkowski if the hit was a culmination of feelings from the officiating toward him over the last couple years and the tight end answered, "Most of the past couple seven years (his entire career)". And he made the play, and I just don't understand why there wasn't a flag. I was just really frustrated at that moment and it just happened naturally through emotions and frustrations. It's insane. Like, what am I supposed to do? And then they don't call that. "It was just frustration, and that's what happened". He ended the game with nine catches for 147 yards, but the Bills rookie clearly got under his skin on that play that ended in an interception.
