Detective Pikachu Uncovers Worldwide Release On Nintendo 3DS

There's been a lot of buzz surrounding the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie, but today we're learning that those of us in the west will soon have a video game to go along with it. Nintendo revealed today that Detective Pikachu will soon make his way to the USA in a new video game for the 3DS. Cases that would be impossible for Tim to solve alone can be cracked with the help of this Pikachu, because he is able to obtain vital clues and information from other Pokémon.

The Detective Pikachu 3DS game launched in Japan previous year, but until now there was no indication the game would come to the West.

"This Pikachu claims that he worked with Tim's father, and the two pair up to discover his whereabouts".

Crime is rampant in Ryme City, and it's up to a coffee-loving Pikachu to help uncover clues and put the bad guys behind bars. Nintendo says about the Detective Pikachu amiibo: "A talking Pikachu who Tim meets in Ryme City". Until today we've only seen Japanese trailers for the game, so fans wondered what the English voice might sound like.

With the game expanding its horizons, the Pokemon Company is also creating a special Detective Pikachu Amiibo for use with the game. The Detective Pikachu amiibo is not listed yet on any online store. Missed some of the Pika Prompts during your investigation?
