Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim hints at sale of Liverpool target Thomas Lemar

Arsenal and Liverpool have received a big boost in their pursuit of Monaco star Thomas Lemar, as boss Leonardo Jardim hints that he could leave.

Liverpool have been linked with French worldwide and Monaco star Thomas Lemar and the rumors have gathered pace since the departure of Coutinho from the Anfield club.

Laurens told BBC Radio 5 Live's Euro Leagues Football Show: "I love it how for all Liverpool fans that it's a given that Lemar is going to come and replace Coutinho as early as this month".

Jardim's comments regarding potential winter sales may offer Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hope regarding his chances of landing France global Lemar, particularly with Monaco out of the UEFA Champions League.

But with the scoring form of Liverpool's trio, especially Salah who has 17 goals so far at 0.96 per 90, Lemar to Liverpool could be a deal worth doing.

"Monaco's position is that they don't intend to sell any of their top players this month".

The 21-year-old is a rising talent in France and made 34 appearances last season for Monaco, as they won the title. "We wait until the summer because we feel that's not the right time for us to sell".

According to the Sun, Liverpool are set to swoop for the £90million rated ($121.9million) star by readying an offer for him this month. Thomas Lemar fits the bill, he is one of the most sought-after talents in Europe, and has the potential to become one of the worlds greats.

The Gunners looked certain to land the mercurial France worldwide after what would have been a club record fee was agreed. Jardim has claimed that many things could happen in January and has kept the door open for Lemar sale. But it also makes a lot of sense as to why Lemar would want to wait, why Monaco would want to wait.
