Sen Feinstein Release of Fusion GPS Testimony Disgrace, Possibly Illegal

Feinstein, the committee's ranking Democrat, went against the wishes of the panel's chairman, Sen.

Adds Trump: "Must have tough Primary!"

Feinstein on Tuesday released the full transcript of the committee's interview with Glenn Simpson, the co-founder of the opposition research firm that produced the explosive dossier detailing alleged ties between Trump and Russian Federation.

Trump lashed out at Feinstein, the senior Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Wednesday morning, after she unilaterally released a transcript of testimony from the founder of the firm behind the infamous Trump dossier.

Feinstein, who is running for re-election in November, has issued a flurry of news releases to announce her requests to current and former members of Trump's campaign team for interviews and documents. "Republicans should finally take control!"

President Donald Trump says it "seems unlikely" that he'll give an interview in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into potential coordination between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign. "But, as I would with any credible evidence of a crime unearthed in the course of our investigations, I feel obliged to pass that information along to the Justice Department for appropriate review", Grassley said in a statement.

President Donald Trump unleashed on Democratic Sen.

Trump has dismissed the information contained in the dossier, which was handed over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation by former MI6 agent Christopher Steele in September 2016. "The American people deserve the opportunity to see what he said and judge for themselves", Feinstein, the top Democrat on the committee, said in a statement. Sheldon Whitehouse and Richard Blumenthal sent a letter to Republican Sen.

"It's totally confounding that Senator Feinstein would unilaterally release a transcript of a witness interview in the middle of an ongoing investigation - a witness that Feinstein herself subpoenaed past year for lack of cooperation", Grassley's press secretary said in a statement. He asserted that releasing the transcript might have been illegal, but gave no reason or law Feinstein might have violated. "Russia & the world is laughing at the stupidity they are witnessing".

The Republican Party now controls all three branches of government. Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation is continuing, and his probe so far has resulted in charges against four of Trump's campaign advisers.
