Apple to Release Three New iPhones in 2018 with Face ID

Yes, it appears that Apple's 2018 iPhone plans include the biggest (literally) iPhone ever.

Apple will reportedly offer three versions of its iPhone when it announces its new lineup later this year, according to a report from Bloomberg.

"According to the news, the future Apple model will come with a 6.5 "(OLED) display and it would be the largest phone ever produced by the brand.

The first image, which can be seen above, supposedly shows the display digitizer from Apple's upcoming 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus. It will also get the benefit of the Face ID scanner in place of the fingerprint scanner found on Apple's previous generation devices. The brand may come out of its comfort zone for once as they plan to launch their phones with support for dual SIM cards in 2018.

Falling on the higher-end of Apple's models, it is expected to be powered by new A12 processors and retain much of the iPhone X's hardware including its OLED screen and steel edges. This should keep costs down, making the device more appealing to many customers.

The trio also includes an upgraded handset the same size as the current iPhone X and a less expensive model with some of the X's key features. It claims that Apple is going to launch a direct 5.8-inch iPhone X sequel, a larger 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus, and a cheaper LCD model. Still, Apple may ultimately decide not to proceed with the color. A dual-SIM capability would provide a compromise. Apple has not made a final decision and might opt for E-SIM technology instead.

The new XL version of the iPhone X would be roughly the same size as in iPhone 8 Plus, but the lack of bezels would allow for more screen.

Most buyers postponed the purchase because of the iPhone X's prohibitive price ($1,000) even though they admitted that the latest model was more cutting-edge than the iPhone 8.

Apple has tried selling cheaper phones in the past with poor results.

Earlier this month, Apple shares experienced a sell-off as investors feared slowing demand for its smartphones. This design will allegedly work because of the edge-to-edge design being used.
