Cameron Diaz retiring to spend time with husband Benji Madden

The star's pal Selma Blair told reporters the Cameron is "done" with the film industry.

"We were reminiscing about [The Sweetest Thing]".

"I had lunch with Cameron the other day", she told the publication.

Cameron herself said past year she was more taking a break to find herself, something we totally understand...

Diaz, who's married to musician Benji Madden, last appeared in 2014's Annie remake.

So how about that sequel now?

Blair also shared, "I mean, [Diaz] doesn't need to make any more films".

"She said she waited until her forties to get married as it took some time to meet Mr Right".

Perhaps Diaz is following the example of her good friend Gwyneth Paltrow by steering her career into health and wellness, rather than acting. Her major make under for the film also proved there was more to Diaz's screen presence than just her beauty.

Clearly, Diaz still has fans, but according to a recent Metro interview with her The Sweetest Thing co-star Selma Blair, Diaz has officially retired from acting, and seemingly has no plans to return.

The star has made a number of hugely successful films, including There's Something About Mary, The Mask, The Holiday and the Shrek films. Plus, if her 2013 and 2016 healthy lifestyle books are any indication, she might be looking to go full Goop on us.

In a rare interview with radio host Andy Cohen, the 45-year-old actress divulged knowing that Madden would be her husband as soon as they were introduced by her sister-in-law, Nicole Richie. If this is the decision she's made, at least we can always be grateful for her performances in iconic movies such as There's Something About Mary, My Best Friend's Wedding and pretty much every '90s comedy we were obsessed with. "She would love more than anything to be a mom".
