Pardew parts ways with troubled West Brom

Alan Pardew is no longer West Bromwich Albion manager.

"First-team coach Darren Moore will take over until further notice".

"Assistant head coach John Carver will also be leaving", it added. If they were to win the last six games they may have a chance of staying up but you can't see it happening.

West Brom remain rooted to the bottom of the table on 20 points following their 2-1 defeat against Burnley on Saturday at The Hawthorns.

Albion edged out Liverpool at Anfield 3-2 in the FA Cup towards the end of January but have lost every game since then - their cup aspirations ended by a home defeat to Southampton.

West Bromwich Albion will wait until the summer to appoint a replacement after sacking their second manager this season.

According to Alyson Rudd, writing in The Times, the former West Ham manager told Megson during a phone call that he had "denied him his "new manager bounce" because he had recorded two positive results before Pardew arrived at the club.

With Pardew departed, a host of names are being linked - but it is former West Brom midfielder, and one-time caretaker, Michael Appleton who is early favourite for the role.

The relegation-threatened side have just six games left to try and retain their Premier League status, with crucial matches against Swansea, Newcastle and Crystal Palace still to come.

Yet it has proven a disastrous appointment for the Midlanders, with the infamous training camp in Barcelona ultimately proving the nadir. "There is no more money for (players) wages".

4 - Salomon Rondon finishes as West Brom's leading goalscorer in league games under Pardew.
