Taylor Swift Gives Earth, Wind & Fire's Disco Classic 'September' a Country Twist

If you're at a wedding, and the DJ or band at the reception didn't play Earth, Wind & Fire's "September", was it even a real wedding? While theirs was more "dance floor anthem", Swift's is more "warm coffeehouse ballad" - she slathers the track in banjos and lets her breathy vocals handle those iconic "ba de ya's".

In the autumn of 2014, Swift famously pulled her last album, 1989, and catalogue from Spotify having said she was "not willing to contribute my life's work" to the streaming experiment. But Black Twitter wants the song to be destroy from existence. "Delicate' is about the balancing act of the rush and the fear and hoping it's really worth it to take that chance".

According to Billboard, the tune is part of Spotify's Singles series.

Swift gave a hint of things to come Thursday morning on her Instagram page, where she posted a short video. We also included Earth, Wind & Fire's original track below to help restore your feel-good vibes.

The "reputation" tour is set to begin on May 8 in Glendale at University of Phoenix Stadium and stays on the west coast with two stops in California before moving to Seattle and Denver, before crossing the Mississippi River for a largely eastern tour. Others are covering their ears and refusing to hear Swift's tarnished version of "September". It has since relocated to the Sobro District in Nashville and continued to gain in popularity.
