Google to roll out 'Take a Break' feature for YouTubers

Video streaming platform YouTube is also a part of the initiative, under which users will be able to schedule custom breaks to step away from their online lives for a while.

The Take a Break and other notification features are available in the latest version (13.17.55) of the YouTube app.

The new controls and this reminder feature rolled out already and in order to make use of these new changes, you have to first go to the proper app store and update the YouTube app from there.

Google's YouTube gets a new feature which now lets users tell to stop watching the videos on the platform. If you have the notifications of the update, you will receive a notification regarding the new YouTube update on your phone as well. One will disable all notification sounds and vibrations in the YouTube program for a fixed amount of time. Tapping on it is going to give users choices ranging from "Never" to "Every 180 moments".

YouTube introduced a series of new controls that will allow you to set limits on your viewing, and get reminders to "take a break". YouTube has added a reminders option that reminds you to stop watching videos. On the other, these same people run updates that will remind you that it is time to turn off the computer and do important things. YouTube will then advise the viewer to take a break. On the pop-up, you'll have options for dismissing it or diving into your settings to adjust the frequency the reminders come up.

Go to: Settings General Remind me to take a break.

Of all the apps on my phone, one of my most used ones is easily YouTube.

Like we already said, this feature is now only rolling out to Android users, but it should be rolled out for iOS users soon. It will reach to your region very soon.
